Which OS are you?

Which OS are You?

Upgrading disks.

I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade my hard disk in my Powerbook 17″. Seemed like a good idea at the time, anyway. So, I bought a Hitachi Travelstar 60GB 7200RPM Fluid Bearing drive, which to all intents and purposes is silent. I proceeded to use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the disk, [...]

Work

Been working far too hard. I made a pretty large mistake, and now there is all kinds of hell descending upon me. Earl Grey. Hot.

Changing habits

I’ve been in a kind of a rut for a while. Lots of bad habits set in and I need to change them or I think my health and my sanity will not last much into my 30’s. I guess its this whole human need to reinvent oneself every few years that makes life interesting. To [...]

BBEdit 8.0

I’ve been using BBEdit since the old days of the macintosh. I bought my own copy back at the 6.0 days, and the OSX version was great. I really loved it. Upgraded through to 7.0 a while back, which really wasn’t a great leap for me, but now 8.0 is out! The features that interest me are Better [...]

Far Cry

I’ve been playing Far Cry multiplayer for the past 2 hours. Its got to be the most fun in multiplayer that I’ve had since playing Urban Terror (a mod for Quake 3). What do I love about it? The realism. The fact that some of the maps are HUGE. And not only are they huge, but [...]

Its this kind of emtpy statement that really drives science onward. :-/ Obviously it would be great if we could find another planet like earth, but what could we do about it if [...]

Firefox blipvert

The best browser, for any OS: Firefox. The main reason why I like this browser so much is the popup blocking. I also love it because its not compatible with IE pages. So, everyone who uses Firefox is basically saying to the webmasters of the world ‘make your html more cross platform’. I don’t use it [...]

stupendous.net disk crash

Oops … deleted this post accidently. One of the nice things about WordPress is that it doesn’t need to regenerate the site after every edit. Everything you do is reflected instantly on the site. Thats also somewhat of a drawback if you don’t know what you’re doing, because you can very easily wipe out posts if you [...]

WordPress is pretty damn cool.

It took me a quarter of the time to set up that MT did, and it seems to be a lot more simple, yet just as flexible. I’m really impressed. Hats off to the author. I wonder how you use the markdown markup tool properly.
