Daily rant.

Okay, this is just annoying.

Microsoft, in their supreme arrogance, decided to implement certain limits in Windows XP Professional to slow the rate of trojans and viruses in the wild. Unfortunately, these limits equate to meaning that if you run a peer to peer app and something else like a web browser or an online game, the other application will have spotty connectivity.

If you run XP SP2, check your event log for event ID 4226. If you're getting these frequently the article at speedguide.net might help you.

I patched my machine with something similar and now can run bitcomet and browse the web/play online games without too much of a problem.

In other news, I'm playing at lot of World of Warcraft, and I'm doing it on a PvP server. PvP stands for Player versus Player, and is basically your typical run around and try to kill the other player's character before he kills you stuff.

I've not done any PvP yet, just some duels, but it looks fun.

And if you want to see a kickass series of PvP battles by a mage, then check this video out (right click, save as).
