I read with a great amount of joy that the Democrats had overtaken the Senate and the House in the US federal midterm elections. Many people are breathing with a sigh of relief that finally the nightmare is over.

These elections matter to the world because the US influences every country in the world with its policies, its wars.

The world needs stability now more than ever, and I hope the Democratic party in the US is willing and able to bring that stability, and repeal every law that has been passed in the past 6 years that has curbed or limited personal freedoms.
