We made it to Japan, flight was comfortable and uneventful.

Sunrise over the Pacific

We wasted some time in the morning looking at shops and having some sushi (which was yummy) and looking for a SIM card for my iPhone (which is unlocked).

It turns out that nobody sells just a SIM card by itself; you need to buy a prepaid phone (with a local resident posing for you). These are very popular here and the Softbank stores we looked at don’t have any stock. We plan to go into Shinjuku today to take a look there.

Walking the Dogs

Woke up this morning after a really good sleep. Trains running by the house didn’t wake me; I think that with the time change I just woke up naturally at 6am. We’ll try to keep that momentum going I think.

A brisk walk around the local koen has left me with a healthy appetite. I’m looking forward to my breakfast.
